Adam for Autodesk Inventor
Bring a real Inventor part to an AI workflow.
Start with a native part or assembly, a specific change, and the dimensions that must stay fixed. Evaluate Adam on your licensed Windows workstation and review the updated features and references in Inventor.
How to get started- Inventor on Windows
- Your Inventor license
- Confirm your release and workflow
01 / Start here
Set up a useful first task.
- 01
Confirm your Inventor environment
Tell us your Inventor release, Windows version, and whether the task involves parts, assemblies, or drawings. Your own installation and license are required.
- 02
Connect the workstation
Adam's desktop connector includes an Inventor bridge. Pair the licensed Windows workstation, open the intended document, and confirm the connection before authorizing changes.
- 03
Review one bounded edit
Use a copy. Agree on the parameters to change and the references to preserve, then inspect the native result, save it, and reopen it in Inventor.
02 / In your workflow
Work from the model's design intent.
Start with an inspection of the document, parameters, and features. A precise change request gives the workflow a result you can measure and gives your engineer a clear acceptance check.
- Specify units and target dimensions.
- Identify geometry and assembly references that must stay fixed.
- Check the updated document and saved native file.
03 / In your workflow
Qualify the operations your team needs.
The integration provides read and edit operations, scripting, viewport inspection, and file access through the connected Inventor session. Availability of a specific operation depends on the document and installed release.
Start with a representative task before planning a wider rollout. A connection indicator or screenshot does not establish that a model is correct.
Questions, answered
Before you start.
Does Adam include an Inventor license?
No. Your team provides its own licensed Autodesk Inventor installation on Windows.
Can I use an existing part or assembly?
Bring a copy of your native document and one bounded task. Confirm the installed release and supported operations, then review features, dimensions, and references in Inventor.
Is this a local-only AI service?
Connecting a local application does not make Adam's AI service fully local. Review the security information and your organization's data requirements before sharing sensitive work.
