Adam for CATIA

Bring AI to your CATIA workflow.

Your CATIA models already carry engineering intent. Adam's CATIA V5 connector is in development, with a focus on working through your existing Windows session. Bring a real part and a specific change to discuss fit and availability.

How to get started
  • Connector in development
  • CATIA V5 on Windows
  • Your CATIA license

01 / Start here

Set up a useful first task.

  1. 01

    Share your CATIA environment

Tell us your CATIA V5 release, Windows setup, and the workbenches your team uses. We will discuss connector availability and the requirements for your environment.

  2. 02

    Choose a representative model

Start with a copy of an existing part and one concrete edit. Identify the dimensions to change, the references to preserve, and the result your engineer will review.

  3. 03

    Agree on an evaluation

Define the native model checks before trying the workflow: updated parameters, geometry, affected features, and any assembly references. Availability and supported operations need to be confirmed with the team.

02 / In your workflow

Start with the design intent already in CATIA.

A useful first workflow starts with the existing specification tree. The goal is to understand the model's parameters and dependencies before proposing a change, then inspect the updated native document.

Bring a bounded task such as understanding a part, changing a driving parameter, or checking the effect of a revision. The initial connector still needs validation against real CATIA installations and representative models.

  • Name the active part and the feature or parameter that matters.
  • Specify the geometry and references that must stay fixed.
  • Agree on the measurements and model-update checks for acceptance.

03 / In your workflow

Plan around CATIA V5 on Windows.

The connector being developed targets a running CATIA V5 session on Windows. Your team supplies its own CATIA installation and license; the setup must be evaluated for the releases and workbenches you use.

This page describes the V5 connector under development. CATIA V6 and 3DEXPERIENCE workflows are outside that initial scope. Tell us if those are requirements for your team.

04 / In your workflow

Define success in the native model.

Review the specification tree, the model's update state, and the changed geometry. A viewport image alone cannot establish that references survived or that the part is ready for release.

Use a copy for an evaluation and agree on what can be saved or exported. If your workflow also involves PLM or formal release approval, discuss those steps separately from the CAD edit.

Questions, answered

Before you start.

Can I connect CATIA to Adam today?

The CATIA V5 connector is in development and has not yet been validated in a live CATIA session. Contact us to discuss your environment, the intended workflow, and availability before planning a rollout.

Does this cover CATIA V6 or 3DEXPERIENCE?

The initial connector targets CATIA V5 on Windows. V6 and 3DEXPERIENCE support is not included in that scope.

What should I bring to a CATIA evaluation?

Bring your CATIA release and workbench requirements, a representative model you can share, and one task with measurable acceptance criteria. A small parameter change with explicit geometry checks is a useful starting point.
