Adam for Siemens NX
AI for NX, in the CAD session you already use.
Ask Adam to inspect a part, make a specific edit, and check the result in Siemens NX. The connection works through your running Windows session and is available through Enterprise access enabled by the Adam team.
How to get started- Enterprise access
- Windows desktop connector
- Your Siemens NX license

- 01
Arrange Enterprise access
Talk to the Adam team about your NX version, licenses, and intended workflow. Your account needs NX access enabled before you can connect.
- 02
Connect the Windows computer running NX
Install and pair Adam Connector under the same Windows account you use for NX. Open NX normally; if it was open during installation, save your work and restart NX once so its bridge can load.
- 03
Open your model and confirm readiness
Wait for NX startup and the Adam bridge to finish loading. Confirm the connection is ready, open the intended part, and ask Adam to inspect it before requesting an edit.
02 / In your workflow
Work in the native NX model.
Adam can inspect and edit CAD through the connected NX session. Give it the part, the intended change, and the constraints that make the result useful to your team.
For an existing parametric model, start with a named expression or a small feature change. Ask Adam to explain the dependencies it finds, then check the updated part in NX. Imported geometry may need a different editing approach from a model with its original feature history.
- Identify the active part and the expression or feature to change.
- Preserve critical interfaces, mounting positions, and clearances.
- Inspect the model update and measure the resulting geometry.
03 / In your workflow
Keep NX setup part of the evaluation.
The NX integration requires the Windows desktop connector, a running NX installation, and an account enabled for NX access. Adam does not include a Siemens NX license.
Tell us which NX version and licensed modules your workflow needs. Validate a representative task in that environment before setting expectations for a wider rollout.
04 / In your workflow
Make the engineering checks explicit.
A completed edit needs checks in the native document: the requested dimensions, affected features, model-update errors, and any interfaces the change could disturb. Ask for those checks in the task itself.
If your team manages models in Teamcenter or another PLM system, define the checkout, revision, and release process separately. Connecting NX does not establish an automated PLM release workflow.

How do I get Siemens NX access in Adam?
NX is available through Enterprise access and requires enablement by the Adam team. Contact us with your NX environment and intended use case; creating an account alone does not enable the connector.
Can I connect NX from a Mac?
The NX connector runs on the Windows computer where NX is installed, under the same Windows account. You can access Adam in a browser, but the paired Windows machine and NX session must be available.
Does Adam replace my NX license or Teamcenter workflow?
You keep your own NX installation and license. The CAD connection operates through NX; any Teamcenter checkout, revision management, or release automation needs a separate scope and validation.
