Adam for PTC Creo
AI for Creo, starting with the model you have.
Existing Creo models hold the parameters and design decisions your team depends on. Adam's Creo connector is in development, with an initial focus on inspecting models, changing parameters, and regenerating parts. Talk to us about your workflow and availability.
How to get started- Connector in development
- Creo Parametric on Windows
- Existing model workflows
01 / Start here
Set up a useful first task.
- 01
Confirm your Creo environment
Share your Creo Parametric version, Windows setup, and intended task. The planned connector requires Creo's VB API component; the team will discuss installation requirements and availability with you.
- 02
Pick an existing parametric model
Use a copy of a representative part or assembly. Identify the existing dimensions or parameters to change, the features they drive, and the interfaces that must remain fixed.
- 03
Define regeneration checks
Agree on the expected parameter values, resulting geometry, and checks for failed features. Test the task in your native Creo environment before extending the workflow to more models.
02 / In your workflow
Begin with existing parameters and features.
The initial Creo connector focuses on existing model workflows: inspecting parts and assemblies, updating parameters, regenerating models, and exporting results. These capabilities still need validation against a live Creo installation.
A useful evaluation starts with a model whose design intent is already captured. Name the parameter to change, describe the dependent geometry, and identify the checks that would make the revision acceptable.
- Inspect the current model before proposing changes.
- Use a bounded edit to an existing parameter or dimension.
- Check regeneration and measure the updated geometry.
03 / In your workflow
Match the task to the initial connector's scope.
The current connector approach does not create new sketch-based features from scratch. If your task needs a new sketch, extrude, or other newly authored feature, discuss that requirement before planning an evaluation.
The planned setup uses Creo Parametric on Windows with the VB API component installed. Your team supplies its own Creo license, and the required installation and automation setup must be checked for your environment.
04 / In your workflow
Review the regenerated native model.
Parameter changes can affect features and assembly references beyond the dimension you intended to edit. Review the regeneration state, affected interfaces, and resulting measurements in Creo.
Start with a copy and agree on saving and export behavior. A successful export is one checkpoint; the native model's editability and engineering acceptance need their own review.

Is Adam's Creo connector available now?
The Creo connector is in development and has not yet been validated in a live Creo session. Contact us to discuss your model, environment, and availability before planning a rollout.
Can the initial connector create a Creo part from scratch?
Creating new sketch-based features is outside the current connector approach. The initial focus is inspecting existing models, changing parameters, regenerating, and exporting results.
What Creo setup will I need?
The planned connector targets Creo Parametric on Windows with Creo's VB API component installed. You need your own Creo installation and license; the team will confirm the setup requirements for an evaluation.
